La trama si svolge a Parigi, dove il topolino Remy sogna un giorno di diventare un famoso chef come il suo mito Gusteau, cuoco di un rinomato ristorante della capitale francese vicino al quale Remy si trasferito con famiglia al seguito. Il padre e il fratello di Remy si accontentano di mangiare qualsiasi cosa, ma non il protagonista, che invece degusta solo i cibi pi raffinati (quando riesce a trovarli) e si allea con il cameriere Linguini per sventare gli immancabili piani diabolici di uno chef rivale di Gusteau. Possiamo raccogliere oggetti da utilizzare come armi, usare il nostro olfatto per individuare degli hot-spot (segnalati in blu fosforescente) e naturalmente saltare ( anche presente un salto doppio) e arrampicarci su scatole, sporgenze, tavoli e quasi tutto ci che vediamo all'interno dei livelli. Ratatouille promette di essere un platform piuttosto simpatico e divertente, dotato di una grafica discreta e di un'atmosfera colorata che richiama da molto vicino le location e il design del film.
